This new movie that I viewed this week was 17 Again. This movie is starring Matthew Perry and Zac Efron. The movie starts off with Matthew Perry having a mid-life crisis who realizes that he is stuck in a rut with his low income job which he is fired from and his ending marriage. He comes upon a “spirit” who asks his if he is happy with his life and his answer is no. He wakes up to find himself as the 17 year-old version of himself, played by Efron. Throughout the movie, Efron roles himself into high school and decides to helps his children. He trys to reunite with his wife who is still adamant about divorcing him. This is a cute movie and I recommend it to anyone!

Hannah Montana

The movie that I went to see this week was Hannah Montana the movie. I know this sounds silly but it was definately better than expected and was so cute. It is based on the show but with a little more twist. She becomes stuck up and full of herself because she is a big star in Hollywood. Her father forces her to go back to her hometown in Tennessee to find her “roots”. She goes there unwillingly and stays with her grandmother for two weeks to help around her farm. While being there, Miley is reminded of her old times before her fame and realizes that she needs to change her ways. She knows that she needs to choose between her fame and fortune or a chance at a normal life as a teenage girl. What will she choose? This is a cute movie for tweens and teens and anyone of those who love Hannah Montana.

Marley and Me

The movie that I just viewed is Marley and Me. It is the story about a young couple by the name of John and Jenny Gorgan who begin their lives together after getting married and moving to florida. Before deciding to have children, they decide to buy a puppy, Marley, to test their parenting skills. Marley turns out to be not their ideal dog, chewing up everything and creating chaos not only in their house, but in the neighborhood. Marley embarkes on their lives with them throughout every big turning point, like growing old and having children. Marley and Me is a great movie for people of all ages to enjoy! I definately recommend this movie to anyone.

Role Models

I just watched a hilarious new comedy on dvd called Role Models. It stares Paul Rudd and Sean William Scott. They become fed up with their job as energy drink representatives and end up getting arrested and are forced to volunteer in a big brother program to avoid jail time. They get stuck with the two weirdest kids in the group: a fantasy war nerd and a completely rude young boy. They learn to be real role models and prove that they can be model citizens.

I saw the funniest movie this past weekend. I love you, man stars Paul Rudd and Jason Segal. It is about a man, Peter Klaven, Rudd, who becomes engaged to his girlfriend Zoey, played by Rashida Jones. They begin to plan the wedding when they realize Peter doesnt really have any male friends. Most of his friends have always been women and this creates a problem when discussing and situatuing the wedding party and who will play the role of his best man. With the help of his brother, Robby, played by Andy Samburg, he goes on a plethera of “man-dates”. During these “man-dates” he is finding himself having a problem connecting with the men until one day he meets a man by the name of Sidney Fife, played by Jason Segal. They have an immediate connection but there is only one problem, his fiance, Zoey is not too fonf of Sidney. I love you, man is from the guys who brought us Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Knocked Up. This movie is hilarious and I recommend to anyone who loves a good comedy!

The movie I viewed this past week was He’s just not that into you. I loved this movie! This movie is based off of the best selling novel written by Greg Behrendt, who also helped write “Sex and the City”. This movie is a hilarious romantic comedy about many dating faux paus that women go through to find their “Mr. Right”. “He’s just not that into you” travels around the issues of why men aren’t dating, marrying or sleeping with you. All of the common mistakes that women find their selves in and what to do to fix it.

Changeling

This past week I rented the movie Changeling, the Academy Award nominated film for best actress in a lead role. Angelina Jolie was the lead actress in this film, to which she was nominated for. Changeling sets around the late 1920s in Los Angeles with a young woman by the name of Christine Collins, played by Jolie, and her adolescent son, Walter. She goes to work one day leaving Walter alone at home because she was unable to find a babysitter or have someone cover her shift. Christine returns from work late that night to find her son gone. She immediately is brought into much turmoil as she searches the streets and even contacts the LAPD, who show no interest in helping her find her son until morning. Five months go by with no evidence or sign of Walter until police find a young boy in Illinois who reports to be Walter Collins. Christine is told the news and becomes ecstatic until she is reunited with the boy to only find out that he is infact not Walter. She confronts the LAPD, who believe she is strangely in denial and shock, telling them that this boy who claims to be her son is actually not. Christine becomes in the middle of public scrutiny becuase she cannot seem to believe that this boy is her son. A local radio preacher, played by John Malkovich, hears of the news and befriends her because he feels that the LAPD is full of lies and decit. Throughout her continuous search for her son, Christine travels to the courthouse stating to the reporters and anyone who will listen athat she has pure evidence that this boy is not Walter. The Chief of Police at the LAPD becomes and enraged, calling her into the police station. He sends her to be admitted into a psychiatric ward for being a pathological liar and “crazy”. She is later released and becomes involved in another scandal of a young runaway boy who has been found and confesses to a crime. He says that he was kidnapped and the man whom abducted him captured and murdered adolescent boys that were seen wandering the streets. The boy is asked to identify the boys by searching through pictures of mssing children, one of whom was Walter Collins. Angelina Jolie presents an amazing performance of an emotional mother in search of her astranged son. It was obvious as to why she was nominated for her role as Christine Collins. I would definately recommend this movie to anyone.
